The sleep of reason is a labyrinthine exploration of dreams, memory and childhood, blending theatre, dance, overlapped storylines and the crashing of realities.

CARRIAGE

A contemporary folktale.

On the threshold between labour and creation, body and mind blur in a quickening spiral. Two workers harness their powers of creation to free themselves from eternal drudgery – beckoned to pioneer a new world.

But what is the cost of this uncharted future?

Taking inspiration from Celtic mythology and the monumental invention of the first passenger-carrying train, Locomotion No. 1, CARRIAGE is a physicalization of the euphoria of invention and a celebration of working-class ingenuity and effort—a contemporary folktale.

A performance art exploration of Artists in Meanwhile Studios, in collaboration with University of Sheffield.

Researched and informed by our experience of working in Abstra Studio. Our laboratory theatre space in Sheffield city centre. Located in a disused college building and transformed into the home of 17 artists and collectives working across varied disciplines and mediums.

The voices of Middlesbrough are rising in the streets. Uniting to make a beautiful sound. Follow the sound to the crossroads and you may witness something unexpected.

At the Crossroads is a collective performance by Middlesbrough communities and choirs to celebrate the closing of Sonic Arts Week.

Echoes from the past collide with the pressures of the present, voices across time all with the same message….

Can you hear me now is a time-travelling theatrical odyssey exploring the rich and often forgotten histories of Durham’s young people. Presented and co-created with Jackass Youth Theatre and inspired by the untold and true stories of young people across County Durham. With thanks to the Seen and Heard research and collected interviews from the community.
